He measures over 2" (>6cm) from the tip of one leg to the tip of the opposite leg. June 14 Vote nowIt's decision time, goto http://www.jlsnet.co.uk/blog/?p=141 and cast your vote.
Dunno if this will sway anyone but if I cut them off i'll throw a dread cutting party!! June 05 I'm in love!Yes, it's true! I have fallen back in love with kiteing (kiting??).
All I can think about is kites, I stare out the window at work to see if the trees are swaying.
I have also bought a kite buggy with two more kites. Which I have been out using almost every day after work, weather permitting.
mmmmmmmm kites! May 24 Who'd have thought it!?!Last Tuesday (15th May) I took Sarah to Fifteen in Cornwall, We watched the sunset over the beach and dined on fine foods, then I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife.
We are expecting to have our wedding either late this year or early next year.
BTW, she said yes! April 25 HikingI had a free weekend last week. Sarah was on a training weekend for the holiday camp she helps out with in the summer, so I made full use of my free time by going for a hike.
I had a pre-five am start because of the three hour drive to the Breacon Beacons. So I was on the hills by eight.
I will admit that walking up the first ascent of the day I wondered whether I had overestimated my fitness (which is pretty bad at the mo) coz I was puffing my way up the hill. But once on the top I got into my stride. Although the first view I had of mountains I were heading for in the distance did worry me as they seemed so far off. The first two hours were really nice, seeing only a handful of people, by the time I got halfway round though the hills were heaving with people taking the easy route up and down Pen-Y-Fan.
My route took me over (the ever funny) Fan-Y-Big, Cribyn, Pen-Y-Fan and Corn Du and then back along the Graig Fan Ddu ridge, bagging a Trig point along the way. Pen-Y-Fan is the highest moluntain in south Wales, so this was not an easy walk, Ten miles in total, taking me just over five hours to complete with some sore feet thrown in for good measure.
I really enjoy walking on my own, it is great to just switch off from everything and chill out. I would say that it's a perfect opportunity to think, but the only thought that came to me on the walk was that I don't have much to think about!
